Animal trainer Mark Vette is running a different kind of driving course where the students are canines, not humans!

The course is being taught at the Auckland SPCA in New Zealand.  The three dogs being trained,  Porter, Monty and Ginny, are all shelter dogs with troubled pasts.

According to SPCA chief Christine Kalin,  "The dogs have achieved amazing things in eight short weeks of training, which really shows with the right environment just how much potential all dogs from the SPCA have as family pets."

The vehicles were all retrofitted with a push button starter, steering handles, etc., to accommodate the pooches. This is a dog story that certainly needs to be shared with all who think dogs are just "dumb animals."
