Oh snap! Ed Sheeran has dissed Miley Cyrus. But in the nicest possible way. He's adorable Ed Sheeran. He can't be mean.

The British ginger kid, who was quick to note that he thinks the twerking queen has "an amazing voice," thinks that this twerking business is bad news, especially for little kids.

Twerking is sexualized, we get that. And if Ed was a dad, like he is in his 'Everything Has Changed' video with Taylor Swift, he wouldn't want his little girl to booty bounce.

Sheeran told The Mirror (quotes via J-14), "I think encouraging young people to twerk might be a bad thing. If I had a daughter of nine, I wouldn’t want her twerking."

The 'Lego House' singer thinks that Cyrus is packaged the wrong way. Well, she's packaging herself as an urban banger with a punk edge. It seems like it's Miley who is driving the train that is her image … right off a cliff!

But his point is that her antics are distracting from what's most important -– the music.

"When I first heard 'Wrecking Ball,' I thought it was a brilliant song," Sheeran said. "But the video distracts too much from it."

We can't totally disagree with him there. 'Wrecking Ball' is one of Cyrus' best songs ever, but some of the meaning and power is being lost amid all the twerking and tongues, and nakedness, that follows her.

Relax, Smilers. Don't go attacking Ed. He's making a point and supporting it with evidence. Plus, he just sold out multiple nights at Madison Square Garden so you can trash him all you want. Everyone still loves him!
