We've already seen brief teaser for Empire's second season, but the full trailer has arrived and provides a much better sense of what's next for the Lyon family — and for Empire Entertainment.

"You miss me?" asks Cookie, played by Taraji P. Henson. "Yes," replies all of Empire's many fans watching the trailer at home. "You always were a ride or die," Lucious Lyon says from the other side of the table at the prison where she's paid him a visit.

Cookie and Lucious' oldest son Andre is looking to oust his dad as Empire CEO, but Lucious wants Jamal to "handle" that situation. Hakeem's rolling through hallways/life on his Hovertrax, and Jamal promises to suppress his musical career.

Marisa Tomei appears (in a stunning outfit) as Mimi Whitman, a venture capitalist who gets mixed up in the Lyons' drama. Blink and you'll miss Chris Rock as Lucious' fellow prisoner, as well as Ludacris as a prison guard. Watch the full trailer above.

This season's hefty guest star roster includes Lenny KravitzAlicia Keys and Kelly RowlandBillboard reports that Pitbull will appear (as he so often does) as himself, performing with Jussie Smollett's Jamal.

The site also quoted series co-creator Lee Daniels and executive producer Brian Grazer both floated the idea of an Empire spinoff. "Without question," Daniels told a panel of TV critics. "There's so much ripe story that we've talked about already, about Cookie's family, what makes her her. That in itself is fascinating to me."

Grazer added that they'll need to make sure they maintain the show's quality first, and "never get corny. Completely stay authentic... As long as it stays dangerous, we're cool. As long as we can stay that way for this season, these guys can think about a spin-off, we'll be OK."
