Expecting a Tax Refund? These Tools May Help

Are you getting a Federal or State tax refund this year? Have you filed yet? If the answer is yes to both and you haven’t received your check/s or direct deposit/s yet there are tools to give you some information.

If you’re asking yourself where at the Maine Revenue Services or the IRS your refund is in the process of getting to you there is a portal for both you can use. Many already know about these pages but if you don't I have the links for you.

On the IRS website there is a button or link called “Where’s My Refund?” Just fill the fields and there maybe your answer. A link is supplied below for simplicity.

You will need to supply how you filed (Single, Married/Joint, etc.), your Social Security Number and exact amount of your refund rounded to the closet dollar.

For the State refund, you just need your SS # and expected amount you're getting back in your refund.
