How scary is this? A family in Springdale, Ohio had to go out of town to visit a very ill relative. When they came home, they discovered all of their locks had been changed and a squatter was claiming to now own their house.

The man's name is Robert Carr and he is a so-called 'professional squatter.' He told WLWT:

When you abandon a property, bam, walk away from it, 'I ain't never coming back. I don't want nothing to do with it,' right? Somebody can come in, 'Oh, mine,' I have a team of people who go out and I say make sure the house is empty. If it's empty, change the locks.

The family has had to take Carr to court to get him out of their home.

Just today (Dec. 4) Carr was arrested on three counts of breaking and entering and three counts of theft. he has a new home...in jail, in lieu bond.
