FBI + Department of Homeland Security Warn of Possible Attack on July 4th

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI have put out a joint bulletin regarding ISIS threats for July 4^th celebrations throughout the country.

Authorities are on alert as there is a “heightened threat of attack by ISIL and its supporters” according to a bulletin. The bulletin titled, “Holiday Celebrations Remain Attractive Target” was sent to 18,000 law enforcement agencies throughout the US.

The alert also says celebrations that appear to defame the prophet Mohammed will “likely result in threats or plans to conduct violent extremist acts.”

In essence ISIS is pushing their members to attack 4^th of July celebrations through social media.
