‘Fiddler on the Roof’ at the Waterville Opera House [AUDIO]
The Waterville Opera House has recently been restored and renovated and boy are they celebrating. What a wonderful, varied, line-up of performances that are being planned right into 2014. One of the best begins Friday, Nov. 8. It’s the show that has touched audiences around the world, ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’
‘Fiddler on the Roof’ is the classic story of Tevye, a poor dairyman, who tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
The performances are Nov. 8, 9, 15, 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 10, 17 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $21 for adults and $19 for seniors.
The cast of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ features the one-and-only, Birdie Newman Katz as Golde. She has toured nationally performing in the play.
Birdie and Dick Dyer, Director of Marketing & Development at the Waterville Opera House joined us on the Moose Morning Show.
