Four people have been injured after an Amtrak train derailed after hitting a rockslide near Montpelier, Vermont.

According to a report from the Burlington (Vermont) Free Press, the train went off the track in Northfield, Vermont, which is just outside the state capital of Montpelier.

The report said local rescue officials reported four injuries, but did not give the severity of those injuries.

Amtrak confirmed that the train hit a rockslide on the track and later reported on its official Twitter account that there were no life-threatening injuries.
