Gov. LePage will give his 2nd State of the State speech this evening, February 5th.  LePage, a Republican, will address the Democratic-majority joint session of the House and Senate with his speech about the accomplishments and his goals. The State of the State address is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The governor's office hasn't talked about the details, but some items like education, energy and the business environment have been ongoing issues and, this is Gov. LePage, there will probably be a surprise or two!

Gov. LePage  met with Democratic legislative leaders this week. LePage had held off the House Speaker and Senate President since abruptly canceling a meeting with the two Democratic legislative leaders late last year. At the time, LePage said he was "unhappy" because the Democratic Party was sending a cameraman to follow him at public events.
