As the days get colder and the nights get longer, more and more time gets spent inside. Do you spend more time reading? Is the time spent getting projects in the house done? I know I on occasion pop in a movie I haven't seen in awhile. What are some of your favorite old movies?

I have to say my all time favorite is 'Fast Times At Ridgemont High'. It's a high school movie set in what looks to be suburban Los Angeles in the early 80s. It's somewhat of a comedy but I'd say it belongs more in the drama section. It has a bit of depth and deals with a few subjects that may not be suitable for kids under high school age.

'Clerks' is another one of my favorites. The story takes place at a New Jersey convenience store over the period of a day where the store clerk got roped into working. Next door to the store is a video store and through the whole movie the two clerks banter and complain.  I'm not sure if it was Kevin Smith's first movie but it is certainly one that I will find time for. There is no real violence or nudity but it's not for kids. The movie has a lot swearing and adult type discussion.

'This is Spinal Tap' is about an unlucky rock band from the UK and is one of my favorites as well. It's a mocumentary and is full of rock band tour cliches. It is well worth the two hours even if you're not an 80s hairband metal fan. I'd say it's okay for teens who like music. It probably was rated 'R' but not for anything extremely shocking.

In the same way 'This is Spinal Tap' parodies a rock tour, 'Spaceballs' lampoons all of the sci-fi space movies like the Star Wars series, Star Trek, etc. It's slapstick comedy and with keep you in stitches. I'd say it's okay for kids, but be your own judge.

I can always watch a movie with Molly Ringwald. I had such a screen crush on her back in the 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Pretty in Pink' era. I even liked her so much I watched 'Fresh Horses' for Molly Ringwald. Of course, 'The Pick Up Artist' and '16 Candles' were fun movies as well.

Some other movies that I could watch if I owned or had time for at any moment:

'Airplane'
'Dazed and Confused'
'Beverly Hills Cop'
'Fever Pitch' w/ Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore
'Smokey and the Bandit'
'Wayne's World'
'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure'
'When Harry Met Sally'
'Raiders of the Lost Ark'
'American Graffiti"
