Over the years we as a family have really enjoyed going to indoor waterparks in the spring. We've so far hit The Pump House in Jay Peak, Vermont and Kahuna Laguna at the Red Jacket in North Conway, New Hampshire. Has anyone been to the Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, Massachusetts?

This coming May during my vacation my Mom is flying into Logan at 8:30 am. Our thinking where we have to pick her up it would be easier and fun if stayed overnight near Boston and get her from Logan without getting up at 4 am.

After researching Boston hotels on the travel sites it seems as though most are over $300 a night at least for the hotels that include a pool and breakfast. That's if they even take us as most rooms are only set up for family of four.

So this got us looking at Great Wolf Lodge as it is about $350 a night but you get passes into their waterpark and it also accepts a family of five or six in their larger rooms.

Have you been to the Great Wolf Lodge? If the answer is yes, would you go again? What kind of a city or town is Fitchburg, Massachusetts? I'm also looking for restaurant recommendations in the area.

We haven't thrown out the idea of just staying overnight in a regular hotel but it has to have an indoor pool, breakfast and be within a reasonable distance from Logan. For just a hotel stay I'm thinking about spending $200 for one night for a family of five.

I'd love to know your thoughts on the Great Wolf Lodge resort or a hotel in the Boston area you like before I hit the "Book Now" button.
