Gwen Stefani Is Pink + Plaid on Nylon Cover

Gwen Stefani covers the November issue of Nylon in pink (on her lips) and plaid (on her hips)!
Stefani fluctuates between being a glamazon and a fashionista, and a punk rocker, in her many mag covers. As she has been promoting No Doubt‘s ‘Push and Shove,’ she has let her rocker side rise to the surface even more. We like it when she does that.
For this mag spread, she retained her signature platinum locks, but traded her blood red-stained lips for electric pink, which is equally as bold and just as beautiful. Stefani can pull anything off, makeup wise. Her lips are so inviting and pouty in these images.
We love seeing her ditch tall platforms in favor of Doc Martens in the pose with her boys in the band, too. We’re also coveting that gold arm cuff she’s wearing in the shot where her hands are her guns.
She also dishes on fame (“Being Number One or playing in a garage–they’re both super fun”) and the how the VMAs have changed over over the years — “It used to have so much weight. People even paid attention to the categories! Now if you win one–I don’t even think anyone takes your picture. It’s like, whatever.”
In case you missed Stefani’s other fall covers, check out her abs-baring Marie Claire cover and her pink couture Harper’s Bazaar cover. You might say that her Nylon cover mixes elements of both of those previous, high fashion covers!
