Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been dating for about three months, but they're about to add another layer to their relationship: Stefani will be mentoring Shelton's team during Season 10 of The Voice.

"We know we collaborate well together as coaches, so of course I would have her as my mentor," Shelton tells People, "and she's so smart and talented!"

The move isn't a complete surprise, considering that the country star has previously hinted that he'd like to keep Stefani -- a former The Voice coach herself, during Seasons 7 and 9 -- around next season.

“I don’t want Gwen to not be on the show," Shelton told Extra in December. "Why can’t we have a fifth coach?”

Shelton and Stefani both got divorced last summer: The country star and Miranda Lambert separated in July, while the pop singer and Gavin Rossdale announced their divorce in August. Rumors about the two artists' relationship began popping up in the fall, and while they denied them at first, Shelton and Stefani confirmed their relationship in early November.

Brad Paisley served as Team Blake's mentor during Season 9 of The VoiceLambert, CherMeghan Trainor, the Band Perry and many others have also helped out throughout the show's past seasons.

Shelton has been a coach on The Voice since the show's first season, as has Adam Levine, who is also returning for Season 10Pharrell Williams, who will be back for the 10th season as well, joined the cast in Season 7. Season 10's fourth coach will be Christina Aguilera, who originally served as a coach in Seasons 1-3, then returned for Season 5 and again for Season 8.
