UPDATE: 1:07PM This is a copy of the email sent to parents at 1PM on May 23 by school officials regarding the bomb threat at Hall-Dale Middle and High School today:

Dear middle and high school parents.  It has come to our attention that our earlier efforts to communicate about an emergency situation at Hall-Dale MS/HS were not successful.  We apologize for the fact that our initial message was not received by parents.

Hall-Dale MS/HS received a bomb threat at 10:30 this morning.  We evacuated our building and followed protocol by notifying the state police.  We then evacuated our students to HDES gym.  State Police are currently finishing their sweep of the middle / high school.  Based on their findings, we will send an update to parents at 1:15.  Thank you for your patience during this event.
