Halloween costumes, fun hunting, right? Actually I love shopping for Halloween costumes for the kids, but there are a few problems I have when looking.

Let’s start with my first issue, why do all or mostly all costume makers think we live in Southern California, Florida or some other warm place? Costumes all seem to be made of a thin plastic, polyester or nylon type material. It can snow on Halloween, however parish that thought please.

Can’t some be made with fleece? Another problem I find myself running into is it seems every year there is a huge selection of just a few different costumes. You can be the mask in the Scream movies, burger condiments, or a Disney/TV character. Again all usually made of one of the thin materials.

Another issue I have is when it comes to costumes for young girls. Why do many 2T costumes have to be sold as sexy? Don’t get me wrong I love an adult in a skimpy nurse’s costume but for little ones to me is just wrong. Girls will be dealing with guys ogling over them soon enough in their teens.

That reminds me, I have to come up with something for the annual 92 Moose Halloween Party coming up, any ideas?
