Who needs an iron throne when you're the leader of the free world? In a move fit for a king (uhhh, president), Barack Obama is getting his lucky law-signin' hands onto advance episodes of Season 6 of Game of Thrones.

While at the Hollywood premiere for HBO's wildly successful, oft-controversial fantasy show on April 10, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss confirmed that the president will indeed receive advance DVD copies of the series' sixth season prior to its debut on April 24.

Revealing Obama's request to be the reigning instance where the team behind Thrones felt like they'd finally "made it," Weiss shared, "I think, for both of us, finding out the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes was an 'ah-ha' moment. That was a very strange moment."

The decision to allow someone, anyone outside of HBO to view the highly-awaited season before its television premiere is a controversial move for the network — particularly given that no journalists were sent advance screeners this time around, in an effort to protect the show's increasingly dramatic storylines. For Obama, however, the men behind Game of Thrones felt an exception was necessary: "When the commander-in-chief says, 'I want to see advanced episodes,' what are you gonna do?” Benioff quipped.

So, what's in store for the president and, perhaps, a few of his lucky Secret Service agents? Well, for one, Obama will probably get to find out where Bran mysteriously disappeared to at the end of Season 4, how Arya — presumably now blind — is faring with her ever-dwindling hit-list. And, most importantly, the truth of Jon Snow's much-debated fate.

And honestly, forget about universal healthcare and social reform — what we REALLY need from our Commander in Chief is the final word on the 998th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. Seriously, put us out of our misery, Mr. President.
