While Taylor Swift often refuses to outright talk about her personal life, she has no problem making a spectacle out of it and then complaining when people gossip about it. Case in point: Her opening performance of the 2013 Grammys, in which she used a British accent to mock her ex, One Direction singer Harry Styles.

Unfortunately for Swift, Styles couldn't care less.

When asked about Swift's performance, which was predictably awkward and overwrought, Styles proved himself to be a class act -- and pretty clever.

“Oh it’s fine," he told The Mirror (via Entertainment Wise). "She’s a great performer and she’s always good on the stage ... she’s done it for a long time."

“She knows what she’s doing on stage," he added craftily. "It was just another good Taylor Swift performance."

Is it just us or is that a polite way of saying, "Well, I knew what I was getting into when I started dating a 23-year-old eighth grader who clings like a needy barnacle and can't move on?" Maybe he was thinking that the only thing that could have improved the whole thing (aside from less gangly dancing and better singing) would've been nunchucks.
