‘Hoops for Hope’ with Monmouth + Winthrop Basketball Teams, Dec. 12 [AUDIO]

Support the Monmouth and Winthrop basketball teams as they face off in the fight against cancer with 'Hoops for Hope.' The two schools will join forces Thursday, Dec. 12 at Monmouth Academy, Academy Street, Monmouth.

Both communities have been impacted by the loss of beloved members and continue to support alumni, parents and families who are fighting the illness. All of the athletes participating in 'Hoops for Hope' will do so in memory or support of someone affected by cancer.

Commemorative t-shirts will be sold for $15 with all of the proceeds going directly to the American Cancer Society. Additionally, the Monmouth Varsity Cheerleaders will hold a 50/50 raffle for the cause and additional donations will be accepted.

The games times are: Girl's varsity, 4 p.m.; JV boys, 5:30 p.m.; Boy's Varsity, 7 p.m.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Additional donations will be accepted.
