A project called 'Selfmade' has debuted at an exhibition in Dublin, Ireland about synthetic biology. The scientists involved have developed very unique cheeses.

Each of the cheeses are made starting with culture samples from the skin of different people. They used everything from bacteria from human feet, belly buttons and armpits.

The scientists say that many of the stinkiest cheeses are species of bacteria closely related to the bacteria responsible for the characteristic smells of parts of the human body!

One of the scientists on the project, Christina Agapakis, says "Nobody will eat these cheeses, but we hope that the cheese can inspire new conversations about our relationship to the body and to our bacteria.'

Would you eat cheese made from your own body?
