‘North Woods Law‘ is a fantastic show on Animal Planet that revolves around the Maine Game Wardens. One of the featured wardens is Kris MacCabe, and he joined us Friday (April 10) on the Moose Morning Show.

Kris is a big supporter of Special Olympics Maine and the Maine Law Enforcement Torch Run and again this year will be taking part in the 'Ice Out Plunge,' Saturday, April 11 at Winthrop Town Beach, Maranacook Lake.

The 'Ice Out' theme relates to the time frame when the ice finally clears on the Lakes in Maine. The water will still be frigid but should be cleared enough for the brave plungers.

If you would like to sponsor Kris, click here!

In order to participate in the plunge, each person must raise a minimum of $100. Incentives apply for monies raised & turned in at registration. The plunge is open to everyone aged 8 and older. You can enter as an individual or as a team (5 or more plungers.)

Plunge registration opens at 9:30 a.m., the 'Ice Out Plunge' will be at 12 noon and the 'Post Plunge Party' will follow at the Winthrop American Legion, right on Bowdoin Street in Winthrop with a free buffet and a cash bar.

It's going to be a blast...a cold blast, but very rewarding. If you want to participate go here or pick up registration packets at the Winthrop Police Department, 15 Town Hall Lane or at the American Legion Hall.
