This is a tragic story, for sure. British Army Medic, Private Emily Tompkins, received a medal for bravery after rescuing a fellow soldier in Afghanistan who had just lost both legs in an explosion

A morphine shot did little to dull the injured man's pain so he said, "do something useful and show me your boobs."

Private Tompkins refused to do that but did carry the wounded man to safety and was credited with saving his life.

Interestingly, I was refused the same request a couple of years ago when I went in to Maine General with a sprained ankle.
