It is ‘Bang-or’ not ‘Bang-er’… This Song Proves It [VIDEO]

I grew up in Bangor. It is easy to say. Bang-or, just like it is spelled. BUT thanks to Roger Miller and his song 'King of the Road' we seem to have lost our way on this issue. WELL...some lovely folks in Bangor have put it all to rest in song....

And if you really want to get into the time travel hot tub...back in 1987, David Letterman learned that no one in Bangor was watching his show. How did the show respond? With a song...Paul Shaffer wrote a song about it...'Destination: Bangor, Maine,' which includes the verse "Bang-er? I don't even know her." OH here is Roger Miller and 'King of the Road' that seems to have started all of this...enjoy!
