It’s Here and This Winter’s Weather Looks Cold!

Although the weather is typically what most people go to first, the Almanac is packed with all sorts of useful, interesting and just plain fun things! Things like “Philosofacts.” Here’s an example from this year’s edition: “The trouble with being a good sport is you have to lose in order to prove it.”
“Brainteasers & Riddles” is another feature that I, personally, enjoy quite a bit. Try the one below and see if the answer surprises you:
1- Write down the first three digits of your phone number (not the area code) 2- Multiply by 80 3- Add one 4- Multiply by 250 5- Add in the last 4 digits of your phone number 6- Add in the last 4 digits of your phone number again 7- Subtract 250 8- Divide by 2.
If the answer isn’t surprising to you, then you’ve done something wrong (like I did).
