Jennifer Aniston Made Justin Theroux Get Rid Of All His STD Art

Back when Justin Theroux was a bachelor, he could decorate his pad with anything he wanted, even his collection of vintage STD art that he had a penchant for. Sadly, those days have come and gone — and now that he’s affianced to Jennifer Aniston, such quirky artwork isn’t allowed in their shared home.

As he explained to GQ of his collection, “I have these beautiful wax-museum pieces — handmade, from the 1800s — from a museum of curiosities. They’re just these open mouths, with tongues, and in the throats are different stages, labeled, of syphilis and gonorrhea and whatever.”

“Those definitely found a great place in my office in L.A. They weren’t going to be above the fireplace anytime soon,” he joked, saying Aniston didn’t find the art pieces as “beautiful” or aesthetically pleasing as he did.

Theroux was, however, allowed to keep the chickens that came with the home that he bought with Aniston.

“We inherited the chickens from the previous owners,” Theroux recalled of their feathered new companions. “They were like, ‘Of course we’ll get rid of the chickens,’ and we said, ‘Are you crazy? Don’t get rid of the chickens. That’s half the reason we wanted this place.’”

You can read Theroux’s entire interview on newsstands on Sept. 24.
