Jennifer Lopez is making a triumphant return to the 'American Idol' judges' table!

J to the L-O's boyfriend, Casper Smart, spilled the beans about her deal with 'Idol,' which she previously judged in seasons 10 and 11. When asked if she was coming back, Smart, under the impression that a formal announcement had already been made, replied, "Yes" to E! News.

Whoops!

No deal has been officially signed just yet (and Fox declined to comment), but sources say a signing and subsequent is "imminent." She'll join returning judge Keith Urban, while the rest of the panel will be all-new.

Lopez was rumored to be in talks with the network for quite some time, and the move is smart (no pun intended) for her in terms of a career and life balance.

"Returning to 'American Idol' makes sense for Jennifer this season," a source told E!, "as the show's schedule will allow her to focus on new film and TV projects [at the same time]. And, of course, her twins are starting school this year and she will have time for her family."

And, of course, what will probably be a huge paycheck doesn't hurt, either.
