For several years I heard much talk about Scentsy. I saw women all over Facebook selling it and trying to get me (and many others) on board with using and/or selling it. Still, I didn't pay much attention. I became de-Scentsytized. But, alas, things have changed!

Recently during Trivia Night at the China Dine-ah, Maureen Mahaney, a friend of mine who was there to play trivia, pitched Scentsy to me.

All I knew is it smelled nice (so I was told). I'm use to scents. Marie-Anne is a candle freak and has one going all the time. But, I've never had one in my office.

"Do you have anything in coconut," I asked.

"Yup, two new scents just came out," she told me.

I expressed an interest and told her I'd like samples.

The next day, Joelle Drake, a Scentsy distributor, stopped by the station to see me (and Mac and Renee). I thought maybe Maureen had sent her over.

Joelle came over on her own, it turns out, after hearing us talk about smells and how they trigger memories. I had said how much I love smells and that prompted her to come to the station with a care package which included several scent samples AND a moose themed burner. Cool coincidence!

Mac and Renee both have aversions to scented air...they have physical reactions. That meant I got to take the burner home!

At trivia night last week, Maureen brought me a pack of coconut wax inserts. I felt bad not ordering a burner from her but, hey, I already had one at that point. I did order more of the coconut wax thingers from her, though.

Hey...now my office smells "coconutty," which is a smell I can live with. I'm now a proud Scentsy guy, although I still probably won't become a distributor. At least not for awhile. But at least the allure of the products now make "Scentsy" to me!

Tell ya what, Maureen and Joelle. Get Scentsy to introduce a Hoppes Gun Oil scent and maybe, just maybe, I'll become a distributor.
