Augusta native Julia Clukey is back at it. Julia and her U.S. Luge teammates get back into World Cup action this weekend in Koenigssee,Germany.

Clukey, who was a member of the 2010 U.S. Olympic team, is looking to regain her form that led her to a World Cup silver medal and a Norton National Championship nearly two years ago. She was the highest-ranked American for the 2012-13 season.

The U.S. squad last month secured seven medals and had three lugers, Olympians Erin Hamlin, Chris Mazdzer and Tucker West, that were ranked among the top five performers in the World Cup standings.

Clukey ranked fourth among American women in the pre-Christmas World Cup luge stops.

Women’s singles and doubles races are scheduled for 6 a.m. (Jan. 3) Saturday.
