Justin Bieber has dropped out of two upcoming television appearances, because he needs a break from his whirlwind promo schedule.

According to TMZ, Bieber canceled his appearance on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert and pulled out of a taping for Thursday's (November 26) Thanksgiving Day Parade, where he was set to pre-record a performance to be aired during the show. The site claims Bieber's hectic schedule finally got to him, and he's reportedly dealing with “personal issues," which caused him to pull out of both programs and take a short break.

Bieber tweeted an apology about canceling his appearance on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert, which was set to air tonight (November 24).

He wrote, "My apologies to @colbertlateshow as I won't be able to make it to nyc tomorrow for the show. I look forward to making it up to you soon.”

He then apologized to Stephen Colbert, tweeting his personal account, "thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our ass and we need to deal with it. I will see u soon. Thank you."

Bieber has not released an official statement explaining why he canceled either upcoming performance, and there's no word as to whether this will affect any future appearances. But as packed as his schedule's been over the past few weeks, at least it worked -- Billboard confirms that Bieber's comeback album Purpose debuted at No. 1.
