Justin Bieber's latest Purpose World Tour stop in Frankfurt, Germany doubled as a sort of one-man therapy session, and he was happy to let the tears fall.

While performing his latest LP's eponymous track, "Purpose," Justin got a little choked up. Soon, his face began to pinch, and fans ultimately caught him trying to hide his sniveling by obscuring it with his shirt. Ultimately, though, Bieber decided to forego any potential shame and kept right on moving — the show must go on, after all.

And it's not the first time Bieber's gotten a little weepy while on stage. He famously teared up while performing "Where Are U Now?" at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, which signaled a comeback of sorts. He later explained to The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon that his emotion stemmed from a renewed sense of artistic passion and relentless love from the audience.

"It was just so overwhelming for me, everything,” he said. “I just wasn’t expecting them to support me in the way they did...I’ve worked so hard at becoming the man I want to become, and then stepping into situations, you just can’t help but feel judged. So I was just feeling judged, and wanting to win so badly, and just wanting to do what I love so badly...That was what was so special about the emotional moment at the end: It was authentic, it was real. I was really just wanting it so bad."
