Justin Bieber Tweets — Then Deletes — Explanation for Stage Tantrum

After storming off stage in Manchester, England during a concert on Oct. 23, Justin Bieber doesn’t look like he’s about to say sorry just yet.

In a tweet posted Sunday morning, Bieber seemingly tried to explain himself for abruptly ending his performance in front of a crowd of loud fans. That tweet was later deleted but as is everything on the Internet, his words were captured and shared before they were erased from his feed.

According to People, the pop star wrote in a tweet: “People tend to want to shut you down. What I mean by that is … people try to twist things, some people don’t want to listen. But I simply feel like, if I didn’t use this platform to say how I truly feel, and if I didn’t use this platform to be the man that I know I am, and speak from what’s in my heart, then I’m doing myself injustice, and I’m not doing anybody in this audience any justice.”

He continued, “There’s going to be times where I say the wrong thing, because I’m human. But I don’t pretend to be perfect and I hope to God that, you know, I don’t say the right thing all the time because if that was the case then I’d be a robot, and I’m just, I’m not a robot. There’s times when I get upset … times when I get angry, there’s times when I’m going to be frustrated. But I’m always going to be myself on this stage.”

Bieber had pleaded with fans to stop the loud, deafening cheers in between songs, but the 22-year-old heartthrob was unable to get a word in. His frustrations came to a boiling point when he finally dropped the mic and walked off stage. The “Sorry” singer requested fans to quiet down just days earlier during a show on Oct. 18.

The Purpose World Tour continues through Europe until Nov. 29. Biebs will then head to Mexico, Australia and South America in 2017.
