It was a one-word, two-character return to the social media space and it was met with nearly 70,000 retweets and 45,000 favorites. After a week away from Twitter, with Beliebers barely able to stand the silence, Justin Bieber emerged from the cover of digital darkness and issued a super short transmission.

And suddenly, all was right within the Bieberverse.

The singer's silence and simple salutation was such a big deal since he's usually so thumbs-on with fans. He's one of the most active celebs on Twitter, a medium largely responsible for his fame. So for him to go dark, even for a few days, was surprising.

Da Biebs then asked if he was missed. For anyone who's both under the age of 15 and has ovaries, that question was largely rhetorical. For the rest of us, well, the world somehow kept spinning on its axis during his brief hiatus.

Turns out he just needed some alone time. And hey, there's nothing wrong with that, even when you're the most famous and brattiest (or assholish, if you ask Jon Bon Jovi) teen on the planet.

Justin then used his next few tweets to make up for lost time: He promoted his pal Jaden Smith's movie 'After Earth,' as well as his feature on a Tyga track, and retweeted a positive quote from Love Like Jesus.

So yeah, he's back. Look for the tortured trending topic #WhileJustinWasGone to follow.
