It appears as if Kanye West is planning to lock himself in the studio for quite a long time. On Saturday (March 12), the mercurial creative announced on his Twitter account that he plans on dropping several music projects in the upcoming year.

In a tweet, Yeezy stated, “No more fashion calendar... I’m going Mad Max... 6 collections a year... 3 albums a year.”

That’s a lot of recording sessions. He might be able to pull it off. West already released his seventh album, The Life of Pablo, in February and he plans to drop another project called Turbo Grafx 16 in the summer. If he keeps up with his creative pace, he could release a third LP by year’s end.

Unfortunately, his music projects won't be available on CDs. Last week, the Chicago native made the announcement that he won't be dropping any more CDs and that he’ll only release music through streaming services instead. This move might alienate a few of his fans and audiophiles who appreciate buying physical copies of albums.

We will have to see if West keeps his word. Hopefully, he will practice quality control with these collections. Quality over quantity is always a good look.

In the meantime, Kanye West has something else on his mind. See his tweet below.
