The Kansas City Royals used the long ball to take game 1 of the ALCS, beating Baltimore 8-6 in 10 innings.With game tied at 5 in the top of the 10th inning, Alex Gordon capped a 4-hit night by blasting a go-ahead home run, three batters later, Mike Moustakas would add a 2-run homer, making it an 8-5 score. Baltimore countered with a run in the bottom of the inning but couldn't get any closer.
