Kennebec County Jail Accidentally Releases Inmate

An inmate was accidentally released earlier today (March 12) from the Kennebec County Jail.

Freeman Taylor, 41, was let out by mistake at about 12:30 pm.

According to WABI, he was released due to a clerical error.

Officials say he isn’t a threat to the public, but they would obviously like to get him back, as he is serving a four year sentence for drug trafficking and other charges.
