Everybody wants their minute in the spotlight when it comes to the Super Bowl and Patrick Smyth, the Denver Broncos' media relations director, of course is well aware of that fact. He knows he needs to be protective of his team and their employees. Maybe, too overprotective!

Smyth asked the mayor of Jersey City to step away from team president and former Bronco star John Elway, after mistaking him for a fan. The New Jersey Mayor, Steven Fulop was told that he needed to move out of the way because Elway was there to meet the mayor of Jersey City. The man replied "I am the mayor..."

Elway got a good laugh out of it. Hopefully, Smyth still has his job!
