A man wearing a Philadelphia Fire Department shirt has been pretending to inspect fire extinguishers at businesses. He allegedly burglarized an art museum, a music school and a visitor center. How did he get caught?

Well, Christopher Kieter, 26, thought he had come up with the perfect crime. He posed as a fire inspector and visited offices around the city allegedly to look for violations and the businesses were letting him in. While making his rounds, he would grab various items and simply walk out with them.

This streak of brilliance came to an end when one business required Keiter to sign in at their front desk. What did he do? Give a pseudonym? Nope! Unfortunately for him, he signed in using his real name. He was caught by investigators a short time later.
