Knucklehead of the Day: “Pepperoni? I Thought You Said Pepper Spray”

A six-year veteran of the Orange County, California Sheriff's Department is in a bit of trouble. Juan Tavera, 30, allegedly sprayed a pizza with pepper spray when he pulled someone over.

When Tavera pulled over a 19-year-old for a traffic violation, he noticed a pizza in the back seat and, I guess, thought it was a good idea to pull a prank and pepper sprayed it without the teen noticing. Five people ultimately became sick after eating from the pizza.

The teen became suspicious and notified the sheriff's department of his interaction with the deputy. Tavera was arrested and if convicted, could face up to a year in jail time.
