Days after Lady Gaga appeared on the Grammys red carpet wearing a custom-made emerald blue Marc Jacobs gown, the singer walked in the designer’s Fall/Winter 2016 show during New York Fashion Week tonight (February 18).

Gaga appeared on the runway wearing an oversized black coat adorned with massive fur sleeves and sky-high platform boots. The "Telephone" singer's blonde hair (which was a fiery red mere days ago for her stellar Grammys tribute to the late David Bowie) was arranged in face-framing finger waves, and her makeup was heavy and dark, a decision explained by Francois Nars, the founder and creative director for NARS cosmetics.

“Black is the new black,” he said in an interview with PEOPLE. “The clothes are so incredibly beautiful, the idea was to make the girl quite dramatic. Marc and I always like strange, no matter what. That’s the direction we go no matter what — whether people like it or not. Inspiration was from rock stars like Alice Cooper — very New York, very underground, very strange. It’s important that the girls were more characters and personalities instead of just modeling. More like performers.”

Reports of Gaga’s inclusion in the show began circulating online earlier today (February 18), after she was spotted heading into the Park Avenue Armory in New York City around 3:30PM. According to a report from Women’s Wear Daily, Gaga didn’t ask for special treatment: “She insisted on being treated like all the other models — even checking in at the model table sans a large entourage and having her hair and makeup done in the same room every other model was being prepped in.”

Kendall Jenner was also in attendance and walked down the runway just ahead of Gaga. See photos from the runway show in the gallery above.
