Lawmakers Say, ‘No’ on Bills to Ban Hand Held Cells + Require Motorcycle Helmets

Bills that would have outlawed using hand-held cellphones while driving and required motorcyclists to wear helmets on Maine roads were turned down by the lawmakers Transportation Committee.

This is not the first time Maine lawmakers have looked at these issues and passed on changes to the current laws. According to the Bangor Daily News, both bills repeat numerous past proposals and like the past attempts, generated a lot of testimony.
