Governor Paul LePage Said What About Vaseline and a Democratic Senator?

Well, Maine Governor Paul LePage has put Maine in the national spotlight again...and not for the right reasons. Mouth, insert foot.

LePage today (6/20) said Sen. Troy Jackson, a Democrat from Aroostook County, “claims to be for the people but he’s the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline.”

It didn't stop there. LePage added, "He is bad. He has no brains, and he has a black heart." The Governor told WMTW that the comments could be offensive to some, saying, "Good. It ought to [offend], because I've been taking it for two years."

Jackson in the past has criticized the governor's plan for a 60-day reprieve to negotiate a new budget.
