The State Police Computer Crimes Unit  today charged a Livermore Falls man with possessing child pornography. According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, investigators and Livermore Falls Police arrested Christopher Roy, 36, at his home at 73 Hunton Loop Road around 9:30 am.  

According to McCausland, Roy is charged with possessing sexually explicit material.  He was taken to the police department, where he posted bail and was released . Roy is due in a Lewiston courtroom  on November 9, McCausland said. Investigators seized Roy’s electronic equipment from the house which will now be analyzed. Investigators with the computer crimes unit said they began investigating Roy two weeks ago after receiving a tip, according to McCausland.
