A 32 year old man from Sidney was killed after crashing his snowmobile along the shoreline of Messalonskee Lake early Wednesday (JAN 18) morning.

According to CentralMaine.com, Jeffrey Fisher, 32, was found dead along the lake shore in Sidney shortly before 2 a.m. after becoming separated from a friend during a snowmobile ride.

Fisher was driving on the lake near the area of Lily Lane, where he also lived, according to a news release Wednesday morning from the Maine Warden Service.

The accident happened just a few weeks after a Massachusetts man died when his snowmobile went through the ice, also on Messalonskee Lake.
