Maine Gas Prices Are Slightly Lower This Week

Gas prices in Maine dropped by 1.5 cents per gallon this past week, according to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com. The average price for a gallon of gas in Maine is now at $2.136 per gallon, down from $2.151 from last week.

Nationally, gas prices were only down .3 cents per gallon, for an average of $2.122 per gallon.

There were ten reporting gas stations in Maine with gas under $2 a gallon, with the lowest reported gas price coming from Berwick at $1.96.

South Carolina has the lowest gas prices in the country with an average price of $1.80 per gallon. Twelve states has an average gas price of $2 or less and New Hampshire has the lowest average gas prices in New England at $2.04 per gallon.
