Maine Gas Prices Heading Higher

Gas prices in Maine are heading higher, according to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Maine were just over two cents a gallon higher than last week. The statewide average is now at $2.23 per gallon.

Nationally, gas prices were also higher for an average of $2.22 per gallon, that's up almost two cents per gallon.

The lowest reported gas price in Maine came in from a station in Auburn at $2.01 per gallon.

Texas has the lowest average gas prices in the country at $1.97 per gallon and only four states have an average under $2 a gallon, they are, Texas, New Jersey, Missouri and Arkansas.

New Hampshire has the lowest average gas prices in New England at $2.14 per gallon.
