Maine Gas Prices Lower This Week

According to the price-monitoring website, GasBuddy.com, Maine gas prices were down almost two cents per gallon this week. The statewide average is now at $2.149 per gallon, down from last weeks average at $2.167. 

Nationally, the gas prices were down only .6 cents per gallon for an average of $2.122.

Several gas stations in Maine are now checking in with gas for under $2 per gallon. gas stations in Auburn, Lewiston, Biddeford, Monmouth, Lyman and Eliot all had gas for sale under $2 per gallon.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas price in the nation at $1.80 per gallon.

15 states have an average gas price for under $2 a gallon and New Hampshire has the lowest average gas prices in New England at $2.06 per gallon.
