Maine Police Will be Looking for Drunk Drivers This Holiday Season

Maine law enforcement agencies are sharing more than $440,000 in federal money. The extra cash is to focus on keeping drunk drivers off the road this holiday season.
The Maine Bureau of Highway Safety distributed the money this month and launched a program that’s being called “Drive Sober, Maine!”. The extra funds help 52 Maine law enforcement agencies to pay overtime for patrols at times and locations where drunken driving is more of a common problem. The special holiday enforcement crackdown is underway and runs through New Year’s Day. But the good news is there is a very easy way to avoid meeting up with a member of law enforcement this holiday season for this…just don’t do it. Don’t drink and drive. It’s not worth it.
