Yes. An extra $300 a year in car cost to keep our rides on the road because our roads need help.  I could buy half a tank of home heating oil for that price! Gees. This report says about one third of our roads really need some help.

The study said that more money needs to be spent on more roads. That is money coming from all levels, the federal, the state and locally. I think anyone who has ever been out of their house and on a road could have come up with that “solution”. What the study did not suggest was where the funds were coming from. Most of the time road projects are done with bonds that borrow the money. There is always increasing the gas tax, but as you might have guessed, that is not a very popular option.
