Maine Still Has Some Really Dumb Laws on the Books

According to dumblaws.com, just about every state has some ridiculous laws, still on the books, but hopefully not enforced. Maine is no exception.

Did you know that in Augusta it is illegal to stroll down the street playing a violin? The website also claims that, in South Berwick, you better not be caught spitting, because it is illegal to do so from any second-story window.

What do cops do in South Berwick? There, it is illegal to park in front of Dunkin' Donuts.

Don't you dare try to feed a deer in Wells.

I bet one of your neighbors is breaking the law, right now. In Maine, after January 14th, you can be charged a fine for having your Christmas decorations still up. Also in the state, shotguns are required to be taken to church in the event of a Native American attack.
