Maine isn't at top speed when it comes to internet access, according to an AP report.

Maine ranks fifth out of the six new England states, only beating Vermont.

What is high speed internet access? According to the FCC, it is broadband access that has average speeds of 25 megabits per second for downloads and 3 megabits per second for uploads.

In Maine, 22% of people do not access to what the FCC calls, high speed internet. That breaks down to 6% in urban areas and 31% for rural areas.
