Here we go again, indeed! The trailer for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, the sequel to the 2008 movie musical Mamma Mia!, premiered Thursday (December 21), revealing a number of surprising developments since we last saw Donna, Sophie, Sam, Bill, Harry and company.

In the upcoming installment, Amanda Seyfried's Sophie is pregnant and Meryl Streep's Donna has seemingly passed away, as indicated by her absence in the trailer (barring flashback scenes) as well as how her friends keep referring to her in the past tense.

Instead, we get to see young Donna (played by Cinderella star Lily James) get courted by her three suitors...as well as how Sophie came to be.

The trailer also offers a first look at Cher as Sophie's glamorous (and seemingly filthy rich) grandmother, Ruby, who — despite literally not being invited to the party — steals the brief scene we see her in.
